Reliability Meets Cost.
It’s true we are here to make money. We would love to make a million dollars a year! There are 2 schools of thought about how to achieve this:
1) Sell a few cars for a lot of profit- Yes we could find high end cars, restore them, and then sell them for a high margin. The clientele for these type of vehicles are very specific.
2) Sell a lot of cars for a small profit- We feel this is the best model. Everyone needs a way to get around. Everyone deserves to have good, safe transportation for themselves and their loved ones. Every car reliable car does not have to be super expensive. Here we desire to fill the gap that has been left in the market when it comes to good cars cheap. With this model we can touch so many more lives while earning repeat customers and word of mouth advertising.
How do we do it? Easy as 1, 2, 3, 4-
We purchase the majority of our vehicles from private sellers. We rarely use auctions. Why? The fast pace as well as the varying days/times that vehicles can be pre-inspected (if they can at all) can lead to dealers purchasing vehicles that end up needing major work. To keep costs low we must ensure that all of the vehicles we purchase are at the best deal that we can get. When we get a great deal, we can pass those savings on to you.
We inspect all of our vehicles prior to purchase to see what types of repairs must be made prior to offering it for sale. The inspection process includes: engine fluids, computer data pulls, under vehicle, transmission shifting, electronic components, and much more. We want to really know this vehicle prior to purchase. When you test drive a vehicle, you want to really take your time with it to make sure that you are getting your money’s worth. The same is true for us. Once we have inspected it and run the numbers and if we can then negotiate a price that is fair for the seller and will allow us to offer it to you at a reasonable price (with a little profit for ourselves) then we make the deal!
After all necessary repairs are made, we then enter the car into testing. We don’t simply clean a car up and offer it for sale. Here are just some of the steps that we undertake to ensure your satisfaction:
Full car inspection- Each system is worked multiple times to ensure smooth functionality (windows, doors, wipers, antenna, trunk, fuel cap etc).
The car will be left to idle for 1 hour with the AC turned on to full blast. This will check the AC system as well as the engine cooling system.
The car will be left to idle for 1 hour with the AC turned off. This will check the cooling fans and engine cooling system to ensure that the AC relay and fans are not keeping the engine at the correct operating temperature.
All HVAC components will be re-checked from the pre- purchase inspection. (defroster, upper vents, lower heat vents, also rear ac/heat if applicable.
The car is then driven for a minimum of 200 miles round trip, non-stop (other than for fuel and restroom breaks) to ensure all transmission and engine components are in great condition.
Lastly we get the vehicle inspected at a NC Inspection station , followed by cleaning and and polishing it up for YOU!
As you can see, we are committed to ensuring that any vehicle that you purchase is trouble free PRIOR to offering it to the public.
